Someone once asked me, "Which sense would you hate most to lose?" After a lot of debating with myself, I finally replied, "Touch." If I lost my sight, I could still hear his voice. If I could no longer hear, I'd still be able to see his perfect face. If I couldn't smell anymore, I'd still know the feeling of holding his hand. If I lost the ability to taste, I could still detect his unique, wonderful scent. But, if I couldn't feel anything, I wouldn't be able to feel it when he kisses me, and then I think I'd just shatter.

It was a cold, cold Christmas Eve that year. The wind howled through the trees, nearly mimicking the sound of a cat's tiny cries as she sat on the front porch of the only house for miles.
